Project Description:
The integrated Category 6 Siemon Cabling System for the new DIMIA location included an estimated 1300 outlets. Single-mode optical fibre cabling was installed as backbones between each cabinet to cope with the high speed transmission and and bandwidth requirements of a large Government department. Multi-pair voice grade cabling was installed between cabinets for telecommunications to allow for the integrated system.
This project was carried out in multiple stages so that the tennants were able to remain and operate within the building and move into their new areas as they were completed. This caused many challenging problems within a demanding timeframe, all of which EDC were able to overcome.
