The new Health Innovation Building will be an integral part of the South Australian Health and Biomedical Precinct on North Terrace, opening up a number of new health research, teaching and community engagement opportunities. UniSA has developed a long-term strategic plan titled “Crossing the Horizon.” The underpinning of this plan is the Health Innovation Building which will house the Centre for Cancer Biology, the Science Creativity Education Studio and the Innovation & Collaboration Centre.
The new Centre for Cancer Biology (CCB) is an alliance between UniSA and SA Pathology. This new research centre develops links between the UniSA community and up to 250 of Australia’s top researchers who are working hard on developing a more in-depth understanding of cancer and health issues.
MOD. (the Science Creativity Education Studio) is a museum of discovery designed to experience, inspire and discover. It will offer a program of exciting exhibitions to assist young people to explore creativity, problem solving and research to develop them understand of future possibilities.
The Innovation & Collaboration Centre is a strategic venture between UniSA, HP and the South Australian Government. This Centre will provide a unique environment where UniSA, South Australian businesses, industry organisations and HP will engage and collaborate to explore new ideas for ICT business and products.
EDC are engaged directly to the builder Hansen Yuncken for the installation of Panduit Cat6A communication outlets and fibre/voice backbone cabling. Approximately 6000 data outlets to be installed across 14 levels that encompass public, laboratory, medical and office environments.
