Company History
Expert Data Cabling was founded in November 1988 and began operating from a small office on Payneham Rd, St Peters, South Australia. The founding Directors were Murray Clark and Jim Reed.
When the company commenced, it's primary function was to provide Government, small business and education with good quality service and reliable, prompt data communications installations from one data outlet to several hundred. At this point EDC were operating with only two installers and two vehicles. It was not long before it became obvious that it would be beneficial to be able to provide electrical installations hence EDC began to provide Turnkey Solutions. Over the next ten years the company grew, as did the growing demand for network cabling. The size of the company and the rapid rate at which it was continually growing caused EDC to move several times finally ending up at Penna Ave in Glynde where they are still operating from. The company now has over 40 employees, 20 vehicles and has expanded into the Optical Fibre sector.
